Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

I love the free shipping and I believe the product got here in like two days! It was super quick and they stayed in touch the entire time. Def will shop with these guys again. Great service.

fits good you can put it on in 15mints you need to take off the towhuck on the right side of the car wich is not that bad did it by my self

by:

Just thought you would liked to have known the hitch fit perfectly with the JUKE Underbody Protector Kit. It was a snap to install. Took me about 45 minutes to get it in. And by the way, great tip about lubricating the rubber muffler supports. I used a little bit of WD40 & they were easy to manipulate. I used a pair of auto wheel ramps & backed up on to them to get the car high enough to work under. A milk crate worked great to support the muffler while installing the hitch. Thanks for your help & support. Great product. It will have my recommendation.

I installed this hitch on our 2013 Juke Nismo AWD.
bolted right in without any modifications needed to the Nismo rear fascia. I did need to purchase some aftermarket exhaust hangers so the exhaust tip wouldn't rattle against the hitch.

I did this on my 2013 awd nismo. A couple of problems I ran into. 1. it pushes up 1/4 inch on the rear fascia 2. These hangers let a lot of movement in the exhaust. So much that barley pushing left or right the exhaust hits the hitch assembly. I havent noticed any hitting while driving yet. I will keep an eye out there for a better solution I just dont like how loose the hangers are. Just wanted to leave a comment. Idk if this will be everyones experience. Just what I ran into. Yet to tow anything with it. Thanks Todd for the comment wouldnt have tried it without seeing someone else do it.

The hitch for my 2011 Nissan Juke was delivered in a very timely fashion. All the pieces were there and the packaging held up pretty well in delivery. As for the installation, I am a woman who knows many things, but cars is not one of them! Another woman friend and I did the hitch installation ourselves with very little issue. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It took us a little over an hour to complete, which is longer than the estimated time you guys gave, but I thought it wasn't too bad considering neither one of us are mechanics! I think the most stressful part for me was backing up onto the lift ramps to elevate the back end of the car! I did it with no problem though! The suggestion about lubricating the rubber stabilizers was a blessing and made their removal a snap. Another customer suggested using a milk crate to hold the exhaust during installation and that worked well too! I folded an old moving blanket and put it on top of the milk crate as well for higher support. The only suggestion I have is advising customers that they'll need a torque wrench. I don't have one, so I almost panicked when I saw we need to torque the screws down to specific Lbs.-Ft. Thankfully, we could tighten them down enough to get my car to the auto shop across the street, where a mechanic there tightened them down to specs for free (I suggest throwing $10 or so to the mechanic if you can)! Other than the torque wrench issue, everything was great! I've got my hitch and cargo carrier, and am all ready to travel across the country to my new home in Colorado! Thanks for your wonderful products and customer service! I will definitely be shopping etrailer.com again when I ready for hitch accessories! I've already recommended you guys to several people looking for a hitch and accessories! Keep up the good work!

Draw-Tite sportframe trailer hitch receiver. I watched the online videos prior to installation, which were helpful. Scraping the silicon from the fame took a little bit of time. The mounting holes on the vehicle frame on the drivers side were very corroded with rust and we needed to use a tap to clean them out. That took some time as well. Once we got everything cleaned, installation was a breeze!
There are two cosmetic things I noticed which made me feel like it was very quickly put together. First, the attachment below the receiver to connect chains to is not welded in place level. It is slightly crooked. Second, the e-trailers logo sticker was placed on the underside of the hitch and very sloppily placed at an angle. It cannot be seen when mounted to my vehicle. Not great for advertising your product. Outside of the cosmetic issues that aren't very noticeable, it is just wat I wanted! I purchased this rack to hold a bike rack, not for towing. The rack is the Saris SuperClamp EX 2 Bike. It is amazing and pairs perfectly with the etrailer hitch!

by:

Hitch went on without a hitch (no pun intended ) installed in 30 mins really!
Very happy with etrailer's ease of ordering and fast free shipping. Would definitely recommend . For use on 2014 Nissan Juke for a cargo rack. Very heavy duty. We have DRAWTITE hitches on all our other vechicles is why we picked this brand . It fit around muffler perfect .

by:

I purchase the Curt hitch for my 2012 Juke a while ago. After installing it, the muffler always hit the hitch. Fearing it would break my muffler I removed it and contacted Curt. They promptly sent a new one with no better luck so I removed it again and gave up. I had to replace my exhaust and afterwards tried to install the Curt hitch again with the same issue and that's when I got the hitch from etrailer. It arrived in good condition and on time. Install was simple and there was plenty of clearance between the hitch and the muffler. Great product!

by:

It was a fairly simple installation. My only difficulty were the weld nuts on the driver's side--nothing had been attached there and the holes had some rust in the threads, making the bolts tough to get threaded.
Haven't used it yet, I'm waiting for my bike rack to arrive. I recommend this to anyone who needs a hitch.

by:

I was excited about my hitch until I tried to put an adapter on it and found there was a metal knob on the inside that was keeping my adapter from going all the way back in order to install the pin. I am not sure at this point what etrailer plans to do about this.

by:

Fit and finish was perfect. It was extremely easy to install on my 2015 Juke AWD with a basic 3/8in drive ratchet and torque wrench, took roughly 40 minutes to install.

by:

+Install was fairly straightforward, due to excellent instructions. Distance between frame rail segments could be ~1/8 closer together to eliminate difficulty...

by:

Fits like a glove. Easy instructions. Might have to get an M10 tap to chase holes on the driver side if you have lived in wet areas or places that use salt (holes were rusty on my 2014). Quick delivery and well packaged.

by:

I'm 74 years old and the hitch was so easy to install it took me by myself about 45 min to install.

by:

2011 Nissan Juke AWD. Self installed by hubby. Jacked the vehicle up and placed jack stands under it. Tow plate on passenger side removed easily, but bolt holes on driver's side needed to be tapped out [just brushing them didn't do it]. Fairly easy to install once hubby borrowed a set of tap and dies from our son. Did NOT need to lower the muffler [as mentioned in some]. A bit of maneuvering and it fit in fine.

My bike rack should work fine in this, which is the reason purchased. We've purchased from Etrailer before and have always been pleased with their service, price and commitment.

very good quality and customer service. The hitch was easy to install. I never even jacked up the car. A little less room but made it possible to just lower the exhaust on the garage floor. Did not take long at all. This is the second hitch I have purchased from etrailer.com. excellent customer service thanks again

Just bolted up a Draw-Tite hitch to our 2017 Nissan Juke, fits like a glove. Some concern, as this product has not had a confirmed fitment to this new model year vehicle. Mr. Howell over in the subject matter department remedied this by personally providing me with the technical data from the hitch in question. I think this merits the term " above and beyond" in reference to customer service. I now feel I'll have no trouble behind me (ha) as I tow crippled motorcycles all over creation.

I dont like to use the hitch I purchased from you. Its use means I am towing a broken motorcycle instead of riding it! Seriously, Im happy with both its fitment and its function. Please be assured in the event of a future tow vehicle change, I will look to you guys first for for my tow hitch needs.

  • Recommended Hitch for 2013 Nissan Juke FWD
The Draw-Tite Class I hitch you referenced, part # 24867 is indeed a fit for AWD Juke models only. For the front wheel drive model, you will need the Draw-Tite Class I receiver, part # 24892. I have spoken with my representative at Draw-Tite, who has confirmed the hitch as a fit for your Juke. Due to the lowered tongue weight capacity of a Class I hitch, if you are using a bike rack, you will want to be sure to use a bike rack that is compatible with a Class I hitch. I have linked you...

  • Trailer Hitch and Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2013 Nissan Juke
We do have trailer hitches and hitch mount cargo carriers that are compatible with your 2013 Nissan Juke. If you have the AWD model I recommend the Draw-Tite # 24867 but if you have the FWD model than I recommend the Draw-Tite # 24892. I like the Draw-Tite over the Curt for your application because Curt requires the stabilizer strap # 18050 be used with a cargo carrier. Although it doesn't hurt anything (and can be beneficial) it isn't required by Draw-Tite. Then for a cargo carrier I...

  • Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Hitches for 2012 Nissan Juke AWD
Hi Michael; the Curt # C11088 and the Draw-Tite # 24867 are incredibly similar. They both have the same 1-1/4" receiver and the same capacity. Both bolt on for installation and come with a limited lifetime warranty. The main difference is the design which really comes down to preference. The Curt has a round cross tube and the Draw-Tite has a square cross tube. Both will be visible so I would pick whichever one you like best as seen in the pictures below. • Recommended Cargo Carrier for a Nissan Juke and Class I Hitch
The ThuleEnclosed Cargo Carrier you reference, part # TH665C, is meant to be used with a Class II hitch, which typically has a 3500 lb towing and 300 lb tongue weight capacity. Your Nissan Juke uses a Class I hitch, that you referenced which has a 2,000 lbs towing and 200 lbs tongue weight capacity. The hitch and the frame members where it attaches to the vehicle lack the strength to safely use that carrier. I recommend using a Class I compatible carrier like the Curt 20x48 Cargo Carrier...

  • How Does a Trailer Hitch Install on a 2013 Nissan Juke FWD
The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2013 Nissan Juke FWD is # 24892. Installation of this hitch is different than for the one on your 2011 Juke. Basically it does not use any weld nuts in the vehicle frame. None of the hitches for the 2013 FWD do. Bolts have to be ran through the frame and attached to the hitch that way (on one side) and to a tie down loop (on the passenger's side). I have included a link to the installation instructions for you so you can see the installation procedure.

The size bolts that come with the Draw Tite hitch part # 24867 are M12 X 1.25 X 35mm CL8.8 and M10 X 1.25 X 30mm CL8.8. Looks like the passenger side bolts are the M12 size and the driver side is M10. The front-wheel drive models of the 2011 Nissan Juke use different trailer hitches than the AWD models. For your FWD model I recommend # 24892. It has the same ratings as the one for AWD models just with a different design to fit the FWD models. I checked the owner's manual for your 2011 Juke and it states not to tow a trailer with the vehicle.
